3/17/19 – Living the Good Life

The good life. When did you first hear that saying? It brings to mind my first apartment. I got to clean it when I wanted. I got to decorate it. I got to sleep in. Ahhh, the good life. Later there was the boyfriend, the engagement, and marriage. Then there was the first house. We couldn’t believe it—the American dream, home ownership. Land we had to mow. Cooking on my own stove. The good life.

Do you think God believes in the good life? If so, what would God’s good life look like? Amazingly, God gives us his view in Ephesians. That is our topic this Sunday. In the meantime, many good opportunities are available at FPCD. After worship this Sunday, enjoy a POTLUCK. On Monday, women, including older teen girls, meet at PANERA BREAD in Cedar Hill at 6:30 p.m. for the first session of the Bible study called Seamless. Wednesday night March 20, Lent Bible study, 24 Hours that Changed the World, takes place at 6:30, with dinner at 6:00. I hope you take advantage of these wonderful opportunities to go deeper in faith during Lent. I can’t wait to see you!
